Facing My Discontents

Its this learning the genius of God's creation to make Him supreme while satisfying us at that supremacy so that the best of both world, my happiness and His glory do not compete because my happiness is in that glory and being in His glory makes His glory look really glorious

I really struggle  facing my discontents in life. I really need to focus my self not on worldly things but in Christ alone. So help me God.

DRUNKENNESS - ROOT OF VIOLENCE

Because of drunkenness why people do such violent things. I pray for the soul of Mr. OBET that he may receive justice and grace. I pray for the souls of the killer(s), that may Jesus change them, be justified and be sanctified.

LET'S MAKE WAR AGAINST DRUNKENNESS!

20 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. ² He agreed to pay them a denarius^[a] for the day and sent them into his vineyard.

³ “About nine in the morning he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing. ⁴ He told them, ‘You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.’ ⁵ So they went.
“He went out again about noon and about three in the afternoon and did the same thing. ⁶ About five in the afternoon he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, ‘Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’
⁷ “‘Because no one has hired us,’ they answered.
“He said to them, ‘You also go and work in my vineyard.’
⁸ “When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.’
⁹ “The workers who were hired about five in the afternoon came and each received a denarius. ¹⁰ So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius. ¹¹ When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner. ¹² ‘These who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.’
¹³ “But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius? ¹⁴ Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you. ¹⁵ Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’
¹⁶ “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”

I am very thankful O' Lord, that YOU give us blessings because of YOU are generous. It is not because we deserve it, but because YOU are INFINITELY generous. 


For if you give out of our works, I would have been broken,deprive and nothing. For I nor all of us deserve anything from YOU, we are sinners, we have fallen short from YOUR Glory. But because of YOUR LOVE and MERCY, YOU send JESUS our SAVIOR, that through HIM, We can receive your ULTIMATE GIFT - YOUR GRACE. 


O' LORD, help us not to be jealous to others. Help us to get rid of these evil eyes we have. You give what pleases YOU. We don't have the right to argue and complain. Instead of complaining, help us to be more THANKFUL to YOU. We should be happy because we belong to the same BODY of CHRIST.

AMEN.

I did not plan to do some bible related activities today(read Crazy Love, read the bible, research about theologies etc). I just want to sit in front of the laptop and study programming.

But hey, how can these be, I still did some research. It seems that I am still puzzled by many questions. 

God lead me to do this.

Now, here I am again doing some research about the church I am currently attending. I see some minor issues but that's okay for it won't affect my salvation.

Glory to the Sovereign God.

Did I care for God's creation?

Last Sunday's message was all about the great creations of the Lord. Trees, animals, mountains, clouds and everything. God saw everything He created was very good (Gen 1:31). I always knew that God's work is perfect, without flaws and of course beautiful.

It then came to my senses, Did I care for His works? Did I think that my actions can harm the environment? Did I give enough attention in saving the planet.

When I met Christ, I always think good works that are big (As a result of salvation). What I mean by this good works that are worth remembering - generosity, peacekeeping, helping hands, care for the needy, being a hero, to be fair and just. But then I realized I missed something, and that is caring for the creations of God. These is quite sad because in the beginning God already commanded us take care of His creation that's why He gave us this authority over other creatures(Gen 1:28-31). Violating this is a sin of course.

Is it was all about the nature, the environment? One more thing is.... Our body, Yes this body was also God's creation therefore we should take all the considerable actions in taking care of it. This includes diet, exercise, healthy foods, avoiding vices(alcohol, cigarettes, drugs) and others. Remember that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

As a good steward of God, I will care for the environment until the end of my life.


Heavenly Father please help me through your own plans on how can I do my part in caring the environment.  Motivate Me, Remind Me, Show Me the "hows" in caring for your creations.

God's Glory and His Works

After reading Chapter 1 of Crazy Love by Francis Chan, I realized what I am missing. All I can say is WOW, GOD is AWESOME. I know that God created all things but never really appreciate how complicated it is.

In seven days, God created the whole Universe. His designed was perfect. All the things He created were good, no I mean great! No one can surpass God.

Wow that's even more awesome the fact that God created this in just seven days maybe less than one day. Compared to the "Man's Pool" which take almost a year before is was finished.

This relieves me a lot.

My God is BIG.. I mean HUGE,

that I know I can do anything when I am with HIM.
